Hey people of the world!
soo, last year i got really interested in this but eventually gave up caus i thought that it was too complex and i took a break from game development and now im too lazy to scour the wiki to see what happened so can anyone tell me if there was any noteworthy changes.

Not especially from a game maker's perspective. At least not yet.
The gears of development keep turning, though.

Engine developers are working on creating a modern API and related game engines for Windows, Linux and Mac OSX. That is about it.
