Tiny Help with Anvil
Does anybody here work with Anvil midi program?

If so, can you tell me how to bend a note.
Or "vibrato" I think it's referred to in music as.

I used to use it all the time. If you right click a note and find it's properties you can set many different things including vibrato (I think).
If you use code to help you code you can use less code to code. Also, I have approximate knowledge of many things.

Right-click brings up properties where I can change the volume and duration.

There's Transpose, but causes the whole note to change instead of half of it.
Can also reverse or invert the notes, but nothing about vibratos or bending. :/

Found something under edit, called MIDI-Event.
Contains effects among other things, and "Pitch Bend"

Oh, well I guess that's it then.

Yeah, it's it. Still can't figure out how to shift the pitch up or down though.
It's only shifting down and there's no options. No worries.

Thanks for trying to help though man.

I don't know how Anvil does it, but for pitch bending in MIDI sequences the value goes from -8192 (maximum downward bend) to +8191 (maximum upward bend), with 0 being "no bend" (or "set bend back to no bend if there's a previous bend"). If pitch bend is set it stays set until the next pitch bend event, which means if you bend a note but then want the next note to sound normal you must set the bend back to 0 before the next note is played.

There's a MIDI CC can be changed called an RPN (registered parameter number) that changes pitch bend sensitivity (what the -8192 to +8191 range represents) with 2 semitones in both directions being the default. The jgglatt pages (specifically, the RPN page for pitch bend sensitivity) has a wealth of info on the MIDI spec that's program independent.

I thought that anvil won't let you do anything more than place and time notes unless you pay...

Have no clue about the limitations of the free version,
but you can definitely handle MIDI-events.

The problem I think is that it doesn't let you control them,
because I found what NEO was mentioning,
but it doesn't allow you to edit or mess with the ranging.

Same for pitch bending,
there are no options displayed for the value of what's being affected.
Which is quite alright, I can live with simplicity.

Last time I used anvil was in 2001 and again in 2003-2005 than I started using prof software like logic and cubase.

anvil isn't that great the sound was always distorted...
